A very good morning to all honourable judges, parents, teachers and friends. Today, I am going to tell you a famous historical figure , who managed to establish a nation , and grew into a great empire centuries ago in South East Asia.
600 years ago , there lived a prince called Paramewara, in Palembang, an ancient city at Sumatera, under the reign of Majapahit. The ancient government of modern Indonesia.
In the year of 1390, Parameswara was 46 years old, as he was ruler of Palembang, married a princess from the great Majapahit Empire. Both nations were living happily through out the years, but after some time, Parameswara and his people were not happy to live under the influence of Majapahit's government, and they decided to seek independence. Then , Majapahit's emperor was very angry with Parameswara, and he was chased away by the emperor's army and lived in exile.
In order to avoid being killed, Parameswara ran away with his family members and followers to Temasik , the ancient Singapore island. Parameswara killed the ruler of Temasik, King Temagi, who was a Siamese descendance. Parameswara set-up a new government in Temasik after the death of King Temagi. However, the Siamese emperor from the north , was very angry with Parameswara because of his brutal deed.
